Bob is the owner and co-founder of Tricorne Audio, Inc. Bob began his career in AV completing his degree in electronics from MHD Technical College where he also received his FCC First Class Broadcasting License. Following graduation, he worked at WDAY and subsequentially Sound Inc. In 1990, he and Alan Nathan formed Tricorne Audio, Inc. in an effort to provide best in class design and service to education and worship markets. Tricorne soon became the Rauland Education distributor for ND and Western, MN while also partnering with Electro-Voice in the 1990s. Bob has continued expanding the company depth of product and his own knowledge earning certifications from Rauland, Biamp, Extron, Lectrosonics and he maintains his MN low voltage licensure. After Alan’s passing in 2002, Bob became sole owner and manager of the company. While Bob spends less time in the field then the early days, he is still has a dedication for electronics and providing the very best solutions for his customers. When Bob does take time off he enjoys fishing, spending time with family, staying active at his church, and tinkering on projects for the grandkids.
Dallas Anderson

Dallas began his career in sound at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. While obtaining his degree in chemistry he worked full time at the sound services shop on campus. Upon graduating he toured with several professional productions but found he preferred to be closer to family and friends on a more consistent basis. Dallas started working full time for Tricorne in May of 1999 as an installer. He quickly adapted his skills from the installation to the design side of the company. He become proficient in EASE acoustical modeling and expanded his knowledge into DSP programming earning certifications from Biamp, Renkus-Heinz, QSC and Extron as well as completing the Syn-Aud-Con courses for sound system design and optimization. In 2009 Dallas opened the Bismarck branch office to better support the company’s clients in Western ND. Dallas continues to expand his knowledge in the video portion of AV systems and is quickly learning about AV control systems as well. He remains dedicated to providing the best solutions for his customers. Outside of work you can find Dallas helping with his daughters’ musical productions, kayaking with his wife or on any of the golf courses across ND.
Phil Nelson

Phil also came to Tricorne via Concordia College but through a different path. After obtaining his degree in Biology Phil came to work as an installer on the Tricorne team, a role that later helped land him the Director of Sound Services job at his alma mater. However, as Tricorne’s growth continued Phil returned to the company a couple years later but this time in a sales and design role. Phil too has earned several industry certifications and his experiences with video production and streaming prove valuable with the emerging technologies in use today. Phil’s knack for finding creative solutions and his passion for customer care is evident in all the projects he works on. Phil also enjoys spending time with growing family, doing wood working projects and keeping up with the latest technological gadgets and gizmos.
David Whilhelmi

Having been involved with sound in high school David pursued his degree in live sound reinforcement from Mt. Shasta College in Redding, CA. Upon graduation he toured professionally in many capacities including design, mixing and producing both live and recorded events. His tours took him to 44 states and 14 countries and provided him a solid foundation for the theatre arts. He then spent seven years with the Fargo Public Schools in various capacities before accepting the position of Technical Theatre Director in 2002. Serving in this role for 21 years David not only honed his audio skills but also became well versed in video projection, theatrical lighting and general AV. Joining Tricorne in 2022 David looks forward to building on Tricorne’s reputation of excellent customer service and creative solutions. In his spare time David loves to spend time with his family; camping, playing tabletop and board games, singing in his church choir, and working on local theater productions.
