Tricorne Audio, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Robert Johnk and Alan Nathan. The company is a licensed and bonded electronic systems contractor serving the upper Midwest. Design, installation, integration and service of commercial electronic systems provide the foundation of this company. Serving a broad range of markets has allowed Tricorne Audio to offer a large product selection and many services not commonly found this region. As a member of the National Systems Contractors Association and Avixa, the company remains a leader in technology innovation. Being accredited by the Better Business Bureau they strive to maintain their industry leading customer service. History
Today Tricorne Audio, Inc has a full time staff of 13 and covers a 5 state area in the upper Midwest. While the name may say audio, the company is dedicated to remaining a leader in systems integration and you can feel confident that what started out as 2 men with a passion for customer service continues as a fully fledged integrator carrying those same values.
The company was founded in 1990 with its roots in sound system design and installation.
Bob Johnk, owner and President, brought 12 years experience in the industry when he co-founded the company.
In 1992, Tricorne obtained the Rauland distributorship for ND and Western MN and steadily grew roots in the educational markets. In the early 1990’s Tricorne became a regional leader in computer aided system design and was the first company in the region to offer a written performance warranty, a tradition that still stands today.
In 1999, Dallas Anderson joined the firm and quickly was promoted to lead audio designer in 2003. He has successfully designed over 200 audio systems using EASE since that time and has become well respected for his design abilities.
In 2008, the company became the only Renkus-Heinz Iconyx certified dealer in ND.
In 2018 Tricorne became a Platinum Extron dealer, joining a select group of integrators dedicated to excellence in video and control integration.
